Sarah M. "Marie" Himes, formerly of Bell Road, Grove City, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 3, 2017, in Orchard Manor. She was 93.
Marie was born in Pine Township on Oct. 11, 1924, to Perry C. and Martha I. (Stillwagon) Boozell. She married Wade E. Himes on March 20, 1948. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2002.
Marie was raised in the Protestant faith. She graduated from the former Harrisville High School, Class of 1947.
She was a homemaker, and during World War II, she worked at Westinghouse, Sharon, where she assembled airplane parts.
She retired from Holter Bus Lines, where she was a school bus driver in the Grove City Area School District for many years.
Marie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Middendorf and husband, Richard of Jamestown, two grandchildren, Kathy (Patrick) McConnell of Jackson Center and Richard Middendorf of Sagertown; six great-granchildren; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Himes of Mercer; and a sister-in-law, Betty Boozell of Grove City.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Marie and Martha J. Himes; a son, Thomas W. Himes; a sister, Marjorie Dunn; and two brothers, Roy and Gerald Boozell.

Calling hours: 1 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday (12-5-17) at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
Service: Funeral at 2 p.m. Tuesday (12-5-17) at the funeral home, with the Rev. Amy Worline officiating.
Burial: Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
