Ruth R. Vincent, 93, of Grove City passed away peacefully in Grove Manor on Sunday (Jan. 21, 2018.)
Ruth was born on May 19, 1924 in Homestead to William John and Jane Reid (Rea) McMahon.
Ruth was a graduate of Munhall High School in 1942 and attended Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing from 1942 to 1945.
She married James W. Vincent on May 19, 1947. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2010.
She retired in 1984 from Mercer County Living Center where she was a registered nurse for 12 years. Formerly she was a nurse at Grove City Hospital for many years.
She was a longtime member at East Main Presbyterian Church.
Ruth was active in Cub Scouts for many years.
Ruth and her husband enjoyed a 30-year retirement together, traveling the country and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by: four children, Mary Lou Curll and husband William, of Mission, Texas, William Vincent and wife Christine, of Ellwood City, Nancy Beck and husband Bruce, of Grove City, and Tom Vincent and wife Barbara, of Corinth, Miss.; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and one step-great-grandson.
Her parents, husband, two sisters, Louise Kimutis and Mary Osborne, and a brother, William McMahon, preceded her in death.
