Ruth A. Adams, of Stoneboro, Worth Township, passed away on Wednesday morning Dec. 20, 2017, in Orchard Manor following an extended illness. She was 84.
Ruth was born in Grove City on Aug. 19, 1933, to Marvin And Hazel Custer. Ruth married Glenn H. Adams. He preceded her in death in 2001.
She was of the Methodist faith. Ruth was a homemaker and retired as a housekeeper at the former Howard Johnson's motel in Mercer, where she was employed for many years.
Ruth is survived by seven children, Shirley Boggess of Littleton, N.C., Marvin Custer of Stoneboro, Russell McCoy of Bellefonte, Bonnie Chapman of North Carolina, Ralph Custer of Jackson Center, Glenna Baumgardner of Jefferson Township and Glenn H. Adams Jr. of Stoneboro; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ed Custer of Barkeyville.
Her parents; husband; a sister, Shirley; and a brother, Marvin Custer, preceded her in death.
