Ronald A. Dreszel of Rhoda Street, Farrell, passed away at 7:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, in Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Grove City, following a brief illness. He was 79.
Ronald was born in Farrell on Jan. 12, 1938, to Joseph and Mary Kiluk Dreszel.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Farrell.
A graduate of Farrell High School, class of 1958, he then enlisted in the U.S. Navy.
Ron was retired from the former Sawhill Tube Co. where he had 32 years of service and was a machine operator.
His favorite pastimes were bowling and hunting.
He is survived by: his wife, the former Mary Sue Ilyko, at home, whom he married Nov. 30, 1968; his son, Ronald J. and wife Nicole of Transfer; a daughter, Celeste and husband Josh Wilson of Mercer; two brothers, Bernard in Sharon, and Walter and wife Sophie in California; and two sisters, Rose Rotell in Farrell, and Cheryl Lockovich in Oklahoma. He leaves five grandchildren to mourn his passing: Hanna, Lily, Avery, Logan and Hunter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph, and two sisters, Dorothy and Irene.

Service: Brief prayer service at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, with Rev. Matthew J. Ruyechan, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial: To follow in America's Cemetery, Hermitage, with military honors provided by the Sharon Honor Guard.
