Ronald Lee Ardlen
Mr. Ardlen was born Nov. 2, 1965, in Trumbull, Ohio, a son of Peter Ronald Ardlen and Faylene King.
He was a graduate of Cortland Lakeview High School.
Ron served the U.S. Marine Corps as a military police officer and a dog handler.
Following his honorable discharge, Ron worked as a security guard for the former Packard Electric Corp., now Delphi Electric, Warren, Ohio. Ron then attended culinary school, and later managed Bulls and Bears, Boardman, Ohio.
He loved riding on his motorcycle with friends, especially his best friend, Walt Henderson. A league champion dart player, Ron also enjoyed golfing, watching Star Trek and football, particularly the Buffalo Bills. His other hobbies included landscape and oil painting, singing karaoke and listening to country music, especially The Michael Stanley Band.
A longtime instructor, Ron had a passion for martial arts, specifically karate. Ron never did things halfway. He only knew one way to live, and that was to the absolute fullest. His family and friends could always go to him for some of the best advice.
Above all else, Ron cherished spending time with his family. He was always the designated chef at any cookout, and enjoyed sitting by the fire talking and playing cornhole with his brothers, bringing out Ron's competitive side. Ron loved his dogs, especially Smokie.
Ron is survived by his mother, Faylene King, Warren; his father, Peter Ardlen and his wife Marcia, Wickenburg, Ariz.; a daughter, Kiera Ardlen, Struthers; a wife, Karen Bell, Greenville; two brothers, Brian King and his wife, Julie, Cortland, and Steven King and his wife Lisa, Buffalo, N.Y.; one niece, Reagan; two nephews, Logan and Liam; two stepdaughters; and many loving grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by, John Pasquale, who was like a father figure to him and known by many as "Papa John."
Ronald Lee, 53, of Struthers, Ohio, formerly of Sharon.
