Robert A. Wilson of Hermitage, formerly of Grove City, passed away Saturday morning, June 24, 2017, in Grove City Medical Center. He was 88.
Robert was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Grove City to John and Mildred (Douds) Wilson.
He married Ruth Marie Warner in 1948; she preceded him in death in 1978. He married Jennine "Dolly" Wills Stodolak in 1980, she survives at home.
He was a member of Church of The Beloved Disciple, Grove City and, while living in Hermitage, was a member of Notre Dame Church, Hermitage.
Robert retired from Cooper Energy Services, Grove City, where he was responsible with machine maintenance for over 30 years.
He was a graduate of Grove City High School, class of 1947.
Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, where he received a Bronze Star for heroic service.
Robert was a longtime member of VFW Post 7465 and served for 33 years as a director of Grove City Federal Union.
He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Pirates and Cleveland Browns fan.
In addition to his wife Dolly, he is survived by eight children, Lisa Kidd of Harrisville; Robert A. Wilson and wife Sandra, Volant; Ginny Neely and husband Cecil, Mercer; Amy Walsh and husband Rob; and Marie Bobert and husband Rick, both Grove City; Linda Walsh, Hermitage; Cathy Stodolak, Fairhope, Ala.; and Joseph Stodolak and wife Teresa, Concord, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Johnson and husband Ron, Cincinnati; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy "Dotty" Ballantine Wilson, Grove City.
His parents; his first wife, Ruth Wilson; and two brothers preceded Robert in death.

Burial: Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City, with military honors.
