Robert Allen Preston, 80, of Clark, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 14, 2018, in Sharon Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health.
Bob was born on Oct. 24, 1937, in Sharon to Robert C. and Evelyn Fisher Preston and was a lifelong area resident. His mother passed away when he was an infant, and his father later married the former Leona King, who raised him as her own.
He retired from National Castings in 1983 after 19 years of service as a craneman.
Bob married the former Rose Marie "Dutchie" Lenzi on Jan. 9, 1960, at St. Adelbert Church in Farrell, and, last week, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. She survives at home.
He is also survived by his son, Jeffrey A. (Stephanie) Preston, of Niles, Ohio; daughters, Kimberly A., of Sharon; and Dana L. (Richard) Szivos, of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren: Darien (James) Misavage, of Hermitage; Courtney and Brooke Preston, of Niles, Ohio; Shawn and Rachel Szivos, of Elizabethtown; three great-grandchildren: Brielle Lewis and Aidan and Riley Misavage; his sister, Roberta Vale, of Florida; a sister-in-law, Vickie Lenzi, of Hermitage; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law: Joseph Vale; Walter and Robert Lenzi; and a great-granddaughter Kyleigh Noel Preston.

Per Bob's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no calling hours or service.
