Robert Ronald Moore Robert Ronald Moore, 99, of Hewitt Road, West Middlesex, Shenango Township, Mercer County, died on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Sharon Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1919, in Oliver Township, Jefferson County, to the late William Leslie and Twila Belle Wadding Moore. Robert married the former Vera Cathryn Snyder on Oct. 7, 1940, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 1, 2019.
Robert formerly attended Clarion Teachers College and taught in a one-room schoolhouse. He worked for Sharon Steel in the inspection department and retired from the U.S. Postal Service, West Middlesex. Robert was formerly an active member of the United Methodist Church of West Middlesex where he taught an adult Sunday school class and participated in mission trips to Henderson Settlement/Red Bird Mission.
He was a lifelong member of the NRA and taught marksmanship classes to youth. He supported the Civilian Conservation Corps and actively supported conservation efforts. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Labor of Slippery Rock, Patricia Kaiser of Brookfield, Ohio, and Linda Moore of Moon Township; three sons, Richard Moore and James Moore, both of Hermitage, and Jeffrey Moore of Warren, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Charles Moore; and two sisters: Gwen Ralph and Jackie Racchini.

Service: Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday (3-16-19) at the funeral home, with the Rev. Earl Butterfield officiating.
Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
