Robert James Means Sr., 70, Mercer, passed away suddenly at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Sharon Regional Health System due to a heart attack.
He was born in Grove City, on May 31, 1947, to Charles and Mary Anderson Means.
He married Linda Shaver on Dec. 18, 1965.
Bob was a truck driver for Laubscher Cheese Co. He was an active member of Mercer United Methodist Church, where he was a trustee and volunteered at church luncheons. Bob also volunteered for Eastbrook Mission Barn and local Loaves and Fishes. He enjoyed camping, traveling, attending Mercer High School soccer games and cowboy mounted shooting events.
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Means, at the residence; one son, Robert "Bob" Means Jr. and his wife Judy in Hermitage; one daughter, Robin Snyder in Mercer; two sisters, Nancy Fassett in Florida; Sandy wife of Edward Magee in Mercer; a brother, Charles Means and his wife Joanie in Grove City; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service: 4 p.m. Thursday (11-2-17) in the church with Rev. Brian Keller officiating.
