Robert Wells Horsley, 65, of Mercer, passed away at 12:55 a.m. Sunday (July 9, 2017) at Countryside, Mercer, after an extended battle with acute myeloid leukemia.
He was born in Wyandotte, Mich., on July 16, 1951, to Jack and Ruby Bucklew Horsley.
Mr. Horsley married Christi Aringdale Horsley on June 23, 2006.
Bob was a steel mill supervisor and a substitute teacher for Mercer Area School District. He attended Eastern Michigan University and graduated from Kent State University.
He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Mercer.
Mr. Horsley is survived by: his wife, Christi M. Horsley, Mercer; five children, Craig T. Horsley and his wife Brittany Deehr Horsley, Howland, Ohio, Jessica A. Horsley and her fiancé David Loomis, Jr., Waterford, Mich., Christopher A. Dunn and his wife Michelle Keetch-Dunn, Las Vegas, Elizabeth A. Dunn, Mercer, and Ian G. Dunn and his wife Miosha Saavedra-Dunn, Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Jack Horsley and his wife Nancy, Newport, Mich.; four granddaughters, Addilyn Grace, Madison Margaret, Klaire Janelle, and Emma Page; and many aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Horsley.
