Robert F. "Bob" Draskovic of Shenango Township passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at 6 p.m. in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage, following a brief illness. He was 83.
He was born Jan. 13, 1934 in Weirton, W.Va., to John and Anna Capan Draskovic. He was married to his wife, the former Caryl Costar, on May 28, 1960. She survives at home.
A member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Bob graduated from West Middlesex High School in 1952. He had a wonderful work ethic and was employed as a mechanic at the former Frank's Auto Shop in West Middlesex, the former McLean's Trucking in West Middlesex and the former Yourga Trucking Co. in Wheatland.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Hermitage VFW. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and belonged to the West Middlesex Merchants' League and the Good Shepherd's Church League.
Beside his wife, Bob is survived by a son, Rob, and his wife, Nancy, in Greenville; and a daughter, Laurie Doud in Shenango Township. There are two brothers, Jim of Wheatland, and Frank and his wife, Karen, in West Middlesex. A grandson, Brian, also survives. `He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and William, and sisters, Helen Simons and Mildred Chiazzese.
The family has requested material tributes to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
