Robert W. Bertolasio


Robert W. Bertolasio, 85, of New Bedford, passed away at his son's home surrounded by his loving family Thursday (June 7, 2018).
Robert was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Sharpsville, a son of Dominick and Mary Csongradi Bertolasio.
He was a mobile equipment operator at Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 40 years, retiring in 1984.
Robert was a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in Pulaski, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was a veteran of the Army, serving as a staff sergeant during the Korean War, and was a member of Struthers VFW.
His wife, the former Florence Marion, whom he married April 26, 1960, passed away May 9, 2001.
He will be sadly missed by his family: his children, Dr. Paul M. (Jane) Bertolasio of Girard, Cheryl L. (Joe) Lawson of Newton Falls, Ohio, and Robert J. Bertolasio and fiance Melissa Ohls of Mercer; and seven grandchildren. He also leaves: his siblings, Esther Amon of Fowler, Pat Danos of Sharon, Marion Senkoski, Chris George, Frank Bertolasio, Anna (Paul) Bonaquest and David (Lisa) Bertolasio all of Sharpsville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife; his grandson, Robert Cupan; and his brothers, Dominick Bertolasio and Steve Bertolasio.

Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday (6-11-2018) at STEWART-KYLE FUNERAL HOME, 407 W. Liberty St. Hubbard. Also at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday (6-12-2018) there will be prayers at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 4019 Route 422, Pulaski. Family and friends are invited to visit the funeral home's website at to share memories and condolences.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Michael Peck officiating.
Burial: St. James Cemetery.
