Rita E. Rosen
She was born in Beaver Falls, Pa., on June 1, 1930, the daughter of Harry and Lillian (Steele) Falkinson.
Rita was a graduate of New Brighton High School and had worked as a switchboard operator for Thiel College for several years. Later in life, Rita became the oldest member of an English Composition Course at Penn State University and was very proud of earning an A+ grade for her works.
She was a longtime member of the former Temple Beth Israel, Sharon, and a current member of the Congregation Rodef Sholom, Youngstown. In Sharon, she was a lifelong member and past president of Hadassah and had also served as past president of the Temple Sisterhood.
Rita is survived by her sons, Alan Rosen of Flint, Mich., Marc Rosen of Denver, Colo., and Kenneth Rosen of Sharpsville; and by her grandchildren, Elana and Seth.
She was preceded in death by husband, Melvin F. Rosen and by her granddaughter, Samantha Erin Rosen.
Contributions in Rita's memory may be made to Club Pet Adoption 20 Schaller Road Transfer, PA 16154 to honor her golden retriever Teejay, who had been a deeply beloved member of the family for many years.
