Richard P. Watson


Richard P. Watson, 57, of Mercer, went to be with his Lord and Savior while surrounded by his family at 9:44 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019.
He was born on June 28, 1961, in Grove City to Wilbur G. and Janet E. Heckathorn Watson.
Richard was the co-owner of Watson's Feed Service and Milk Hauling for over 30 years.
He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, where he was passionate in his service to his church and the Lord.
Richard is survived by his parents: Wilbur and Janet Watson in Mercer; four children: Philip P. Watson in Albany, N.Y.; Renee A. Watson in New Bedford; Faith L. Gerrish in Neshannock; Hope A. Watson in Clarksville, Tenn.; one sister: Jennifer Howard in South Carolina.; and two brothers: D. Randall Watson in Hermitage; Douglas M. Watson in Sharpsville; as well as four grandchildren: Austin and Jocelyn Gerrish; Mila Miltenberger; and Emi Breetz.

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday (5-13-19) and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Tuesday (5-14-19) at the CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, INC., 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer, 16137.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Tuesday with his brother, Douglas M. Watson, officiating.
Burial: Carpenter Cemetery, Springfield Township.
