Richard McCluskey, 59, Loma Linda, Mo., passed away Oct. 3, 2017 following a worthy battle with heart disease.
Born on March 6, 1958 in Grove City, to Harry "Herk" and Stella McCluskey, he married Sharon Patterson in 1985 in New Castle.
Prior to his heart transplant in 1999, Richard worked for Blair Masonry in Plain Grove and Old Forge Tools in New Wilmington.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood-carving.
Rich was a member of the Decatur Masonic Lodge, where he previously served as Master Mason.
He is survived by: his wife, Sharon; daughter Kerry Kolar and husband Jamie, Ambridge; Danielle McCluskey and husband Barry Wimer, Joplin, Mo.; and Kayla Carnavale, San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren, Kascia, Kalen, Blaize, and Beau; and two brothers, Jason McCluskey, Volant, and Doug McCluskey, Fredonia.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and two brothers, Kevin and Mike.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS.net) or to the Cleveland Clinic Cardiac Transplant program.
Following a memorial service on Friday (10-6-17) at Monett (Mo.) Community Church, a Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday (10-8-17) at the Landmark Hotel, Mercer.
