Raymond "Razor"'s Story
Raymond C. "Razor" Cornelius, 91, passed away a home on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, of an apparent heart attack while riding his 4-wheeler, something he loved to do.
Ray was born in Grove City on Aug. 18, 1926, to Roosevelt and Leona (Wareham) Cornelius. He married Ellen Jane Coulter on Sept. 3, 1949; she preceded him in death on Nov. 28, 2011.
He was a 1944 graduate of Grove City High School. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S.. Navy and served on the Pratt Victory as a signalman striker in the Pacific Theatre.
Following his military career he returned to Grove City and graduated in 1950 from Grove City College with a degree in chemical engineering.
Ray was an independent salesman in the plastics industry most of his life. He lived in New Jersey, Lancaster, Pa., and Medina, Ohio. Following his retirement in 1980, Raymond and his wife returned to Grove City.
He was a longtime/active member of Tower Presbyterian Church, where he served the church in many capacities.
Ray was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed his traveling to his family hunting camp "the Wiley Farm" in Clearfield County.
He was a longtime volunteer at Grove City Medical Center, a lifetime member of the NRA and the Izaak Walton League of Medina, Ohio.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy Jane Siffert and husband Robert B, Wadsworth, Ohio, and Julie Ann Cornelius and John Virts, Lovettsville, Va.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Rowena Schneider, Cornelius, N.C.; and a brother, Glenn Cornelius, Ashburn, Va.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Clyde Cornelius (1973) and Frederick David Cornelius (1975), and a sister, Hope Englehart.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., Grove City, PA 16127.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Saturday (2-10-18) in Tower Presbyterian Church, (E. J. Fiftian Chapel), 248 S. Broad St., Grove City.
Burial: Woodland Cemetery, Grove City.
