Phillip J. Soos
He was born in Sharon, on Aug. 11, 1936, a son of the late John and Mary (Tomko) Soos.
A lifelong dairy farmer, Phillip lived and worked on his family farm in South Pymatuning Township since 1939. He was of the Catholic faith having attended the former Sacred Heart Parish for many years and also attended Sharpsville schools.
He was hardworking, trustworthy and very independent. When his farming work was finished in his later years, he became wonderfully involved in all family events. He was a beloved brother, uncle, great uncle and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rosemarie Horstman and Dorothy Burnett; and brother, Coleman Soos.
Survivors include six nephews and two nieces, Howard (Nancy) Horstman, Joyce Horstman, Dan Horstman, Theresa (Ron) Cole, Mark (Karen) Horstman, Steve and Coleman Soos and Bill (Dawn) Burnett; in addition to many, many great-nieces and nephews.
Phillip is survived by many cousins from the Tomko family as well.

Service: Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday (1-14-19) at the church, with Father Tom Whitman as celebrant.
Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
