Paul's Story

Paul M. Krauss Sr., 87, of Canal Winchester, formerly Hubbard, died Sunday (Feb. 11, 2018) at Mount Carmel East.
He was born May 5, 1930, to the late George and Katherine Krauss.
Paul worked in various positions at the Shenago Valley Water Company for 41 years where he retired in 1993 as a draftsman.
He had a passion for cars, especially Fords. He built race cars for most of his life and was a legend in the circle track circuits of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
He was an artist. He enjoyed drawing, painting and creating Christmas murals.
Paul was a thinker and a perfectionist. He was known to family and friends as "the smartest person we know."
Paul was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Heath, Ohio.
Paul is survived by: his loving wife of 64 years, Alice Krauss; children, Dennis (Pam) Krauss, Cheryl (Don) Bailey, Letitia Krauss, George (Christi) Krauss; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Krauss; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by: his son, Paul Krauss Jr.; brothers, Albert, Bill, Arthur, Edward, Richard Krauss; sister, Katherine Krauss.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday (2-18-18) at Christ Lutheran Church, 732 Hebron Road, Newark, Ohio 43056.
