Norman McKelvey, of Masury, Ohio, passed away at 1:11 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018, while a patient in the Emergency Room of UPMC Horizon, Farrell, following a sudden illness.
He was 79.
Norman was born August 28, 1938, in Patagonia, a son to Frank & Mabel (Ewing) McKelvey.
A 1956 graduate of Brookfield High School, he worked for G.A.T.X., Masury, and the Brookfield Township Road Department until he retired. For many years, he was a volunteer fireman within the township.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR and professional sports, gardening, and fishing.
Survivors include: his wife, the former Katherine H. Schmidt, whom he married August 6, 1988; and many nieces and nephews too.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eleanor Reed; and brother, Billy McKelvey.
