Norma (Willaman) Flickinger


Norma (Willaman) Flickinger, 95, of Hermitage, passed away Friday afternoon (April 12, 2019) in her home.
Mrs. Flickinger was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Greenville, to John and Lena (Metyler) Willaman. Her father passed in 1924, and Norma was raised by her mother and stepfather, Paul Hays.
At a young age she moved to Fredonia from the village of Kremis and graduated from the former Fredonia High School in 1941.
Norma began employment in 1957 at the former Sun Drug Co. and Eckard Drug Store in Hermitage. She was the store manager for 20 years before retiring in 1987.
Her husband, Chester "Ike" Flickinger, whom she married Sept. 3, 1941, passed away Feb. 8, 1993.
She is survived by: three sons, Ronald Flickinger and his wife, Martha, South Pymatuning Township, Charles Flickinger, Hermitage, and Dennis Flickinger and his wife, Kathy, Shenango Township; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by: a sister, Mildred Simons; and two brothers, LeRoy and Ken Willaman.

Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Tjader officiating.
Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
