Nancy Covert Brantley died on April 11, 2018, at Countryside Nursing Home in Mercer, from Alzheimer's disease.
Nancy was the second of seven children born to Elizabeth Keister Covert and Andrew Boggs Covert on April 22, 1936. She grew up in Harrisville.
She was married for 45 years to Fred Gray Brantley of Mooresville, N.C., who preceded her in death.
She was singer throughout her lifetime and was a member of First Baptist Church in Mooresville, N.C. Nancy enjoyed homemaking, gardening and cherished her family.
She is survived by three daughters: Aileen Simpson Cudoc, of Valencia; Ann Simpson Stillwagon, of Grove City; Karen Weiss Fein, from Solon, Ohio; her stepchildren: Shelia Brantley, of Hamden, Conn.; Susan Rodgers, of Mooresville, N.C.; Texas Kidd, of Charlotte, N.C.; five siblings; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
A stepson, Jerry Lane Brantley, preceded her in death.
