Mary's Story

Mary B. Hardisky, 102, of Springhouse Lane, New Wilmington, formerly of Mercer West Middlesex Road, West Middlesex, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 20, 2017) at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Mary was born on Nov. 13, 1915, in Wilmington Township, Mercer County, to the late George and Helen Wanchock Biros.
She married Stephen Hardisky on Sept. 2, 1939; he died on June 23, 1997.
Mary was formerly an LPN private duty nurse at Overlook Nursing Home of New Wilmington. She also helped to start the LPN Chapter in Pennsylvania.
Mary was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Altar Rosary Society of the Church in West Middlesex.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by: three sisters: Catherine Zets, Margaret Reiber, and Anna Biros; and five brothers, Andrew, John, James, George, and Joseph Biros.
Memorials may be given to the Church of the Good Shepherd.

Service: 11 a.m. at the church with Father Glenn Whitman officiating.
Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery, Hermitage.
