Marton Jancso, 87, of West Middlesex, died at 3:21 a.m. Jan. 12, 2018, at Sharon Regional Medical Center due to a brief illness.
He was born on March 12, 1930, in Sharon, to Agnes (Phillips) Jancso and Alexander Jancso.
He graduated from Sharon High School in 1948 and was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years until he retired in 1989.
He was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He also loved to travel.
He married Margaret (Mogor) Jancso on May 10, 1980. She survives at home.
Also surviving are a daughter, Judy Jancso, of Wellsville, Ohio; a son, Tim Brown and his wife Betty, of West Middlesex; a brother, Alex Jancso, of Brookfield, Ohio; five granddaughters; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Janey Cole; a son, Tom Brown; two sisters, Elizabeth Beres and Jennie Mityo; and three brothers, James, John and Joseph Jancso.

Visitation: 10 a.m. to the time of service Saturday (1-20-18) in Lebanon Presbyterian Church, 2090 Mercer West Middlesex Road, Mercer, 16137.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with Pastor August Hurst officiating.
Cremation: In the funeral home crematory.
