Marjorie M. "Midge" Ryder, 90, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at 8:42 a.m. after an extended illness.
Midge was born in Mercer on Jan. 8, 1927, to John and Pearl (Lockard) Amy.
She married Melvin Eugene "Bub" Ryder on April 22, 1949.
Midge formerly worked as a secretary at Mercer East Elementary School, Trinity Presbyterian Church (where she was a former member) and George Junior Republic.
She was an avid bingo player who loved to travel.
Midge is survived by one daughter, Amy, wife of John Urey in Greenville; one son, William Ryder of Zephyrhills, Fla.; three grandsons, Jasson, Ein and Joel Urey; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, John "Spike" Ryder; three sisters, Loretta Hubbard, Clara Johnson and Bertha Amy; and one brother, Harold "Red" Amy.

Service: Funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday (10-19-17) in the funeral home, with Dr. William P. Crooks officiating.
Burial: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
