Marie S. Wilson, 86, of Grove City (Worth Township), passed away on Wednesday evening, Nov. 22, 2017, in Grove City Medical Center following a brief illness.
Marie was born on June 15, 1931, in Irwin Township, Venango County, to Clair C. and Mildred (Bauer) Surrena. She married John E. Wilson on Oct. 17, 1964; he preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2011.
She was a 1949 graduate of Clintonville High School and attended a two-year secretarial course at Grove City College, graduating in 1951. Marie was employed in the office of P. Wall Manufacturing Co. and later worked in the program office at the George Junior Republic from 1967 until her retirement in 1993.
Marie was a member of Peters Chapel United Methodist Church and was the church treasurer for many years until her death.
She enjoyed her family and helping her husband on the farm. Marie liked to can vegetables and fruits that they grew. Together they spent many winters in Bradenton, Fla.
Survivors include her two sisters, Joan Hullihen and her husband Harold, of Hubbard, Ohio; Shirley Eardley and her husband Richard, of New Castle; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral service: 1 p.m. Monday (11-27-17) at the funeral home with Rev. Willard Morse officiating.
Burial: Peters Chapel Cemetery, Irwin Township, Venango County.
