Mae's Story

Mae E. Cousins, of East Lackawannock Township, died at 7:38 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 5, 2017) in Countryside Convalescent Nursing Home from natural causes. She was 103.
Mae was born May 19, 1914, in Grove City, a daughter of George and Ann Whatton Turner.
She was owner of Mays Coal Company of Findley Township.
Mae was a member of the Mercer Moose Lodge and Women of the Moose. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Mae is survived by: granddaughter, Faith McGuire and her husband Mark of Mercer; grandson, Brian McIntyre and his wife Dawne of Jackson Center; niece, Pat Nicklin of Grove City; nephew, George Turner of Mercer; great-grandchildren, Amanda Shepp, Shawna Reed and Kolten McIntyre, and a great-great-grandchild, Carter Shepp.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husbands, Arthur Gaines, Robert Campbell and Chester L. Cousins; daughter, Anna Mae McIntyre; son-in-law, James McIntyre; brother, Frank Turner; and two nephews.

Funeral service: A celebration of life service will be held Saturday (11-25-17) in the home of her granddaughter, Faith and Mark McGuire, 248 N. Pitt St., Mercer.
Burial: Findley Cemetery.
