Luella E. Mitchell of Burghill passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at her residence. She was 92.
She was born June 8, 1924, in Burghill, a daughter of John Wesley Wishart and Martha Russell Wishart.
She graduated from Vernon High School.
She married Edward P. Mitchell on March 24, 1950. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2003.
She was a homemaker. At one time, she made pies for the former Isaly restaurant in Kinsman. She taught Sunday school and made crafts. She enjoyed baking, quilting and her garden.
Luella belonged to Sharpsville Nazarene Church and the former Hartford Grange 1479.
She is survived by a daughter, Doris (Tom) Shingledecker of Blanchard, Okla.; two sons, James (Victoria) Mitchell of Burghill and Gary (Barb) Mitchell of Vernon; four grandchildren, Andy (Erica) Shingledecker, John (Michelle) Derr, Ron (Amanda) Brannon and Gwen Mitchell; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Mitchell.
There will be services. Burial will be in Williamsfield Township Cemetery.
