Kenneth R. Sinclair Kenneth R. Sinclair died peacefully Saturday (Nov. 3, 2018).
He was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Williamsport Pa., the only child of Peter James and Florence Marquardt Sinclair.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Anne S. Sinclair of Tallahassee Fla., the mother of his children.
Survivors include his son, Peter E. Sinclair (Debbie), and daughter Suzanne Sinclair Pfund (John), and their children, Morgan Sinclair, Anne Pfund and Madeline Pfund Dees (David), all of Tallahassee. He is also survived by his former wife, Charlene H. Sinclair of Telluride Colo.
Ken moved to Tallahassee in 2014 from the beautiful mountain resort community of Telluride where he lived for 20 years. He also had a lovely home in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
He was a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College where he became a faculty member, teaching math at the age of 18. There he graduated cum laude. He continued his studies at MIT, focusing on engineering, then furthered his education at Harvard Business School where he graduated with a master's in business administration in 1951.
Professional endeavors include past president of the International Divisions of TRW, Questor Corp. and Agrico Williams Corp. Kenneth was also president of Sinclair Consulting Corp. for nearly 50 years. He worked in engineering and manufacturing enterprises on six of the seven continents and spoke six languages fluently. His work and travel took him to 74 countries.
As well as the United States, he lived in Mexico, France and Switzerland. The latter is where he found his true passion, downhill snow skiing. In his life experiences he met many famous people including Winston Churchill, Marlon Brando, and Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf.
Kenneth was a captain in the Air Force, serving during the Korean War, 1951 to 1953.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice of Tallahassee or the charity of your choice. In his remembrance, hoist a glass of single malt Scotch or the beverage of your choice to a life well lived.
Services will be held Friday (Nov.r 16, 2018) at 2 p.m. at the Tallahassee National Cemetery with full military honors.
