Kenneth C. Ketcham, of Carlton, passed away peacefully at 1:05 a.m., Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, in Meadville Medical Center with his family by his side after a brief illness. He was 68.
Born Oct. 7, 1949, in Mercer, he was a son of Ralph Eugene and Mary Louise Cameron Ketcham.
Mr. Ketcham attended Lakeview High School and eventually earned his GED and was very proud of it. He was protestant by faith.
Ken proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He worked many years as a laborer for different contractors locally and then worked 12 years in the maintenance department at Lakeview School District, retiring in 2007.
Ken liked cars and enjoyed working on them as well as gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved people, his family and especially his grandchildren, whom he referred to as "his babies.". He loved to spend time with them, took them hunting and fishing and even had a dedicated candy drawer just for them.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey Barr Ketcham; a daughter, Windy S. McCarl and her husband, Arthur, of Grove City; a son, Samuel C. Ketcham and his companion, Caitlin Sasseen, of Mercer; four grandchildren, Adam and Zachary McCarl and Chloie and Sammie Ketcham; two brothers, Charles "Bud" Ketcham of Carlton, and Ralph Ketcham of Cochranton; and brother-in-law, Jim Schaffer of Stoneboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Pauline Schaffer.

Service: Funeral at 4 p.m. Sunday (12-31-17) in the funeral home, with the Rev. Earl R. Dykes, associate pastor, Methodists United In Faith, officiating. Military honors will be by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard, Franklin.
Inurnment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
