Joseph O. Eagles Jr., formerly of Harrisville Road, Stoneboro, passed away peacefully after an extended illness at 11:35 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Grove Manor Nursing Center. He was 61.
Born Jan. 12, 1956, in Franklin, Pa, he was a son of Joseph O. and Lucille C. Kilgore Eagles Sr.
He attended Lakeview High School and worked in the early years as a mechanic at McCandless Ford, Mercer and Tri-County Industries, Grove City, and later as welder for Production Plus Steel, Sandy Lake.
Joe loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Joe lived in Titusville and Okahumpka, Fla., from 1982 to 1997.
He is survived by two daughters: Rebecca (Jon) Stevenson, Ocala, Fla., and Joleen (Bob) O'Hare, Conneaut Lake, Pa; two grandchildren: Breanna Monaci, Erie, and Brendan Redmond, Conneaut Lake; his former wife, Linda Boughner Smegal, Mercer; and four sisters: Rita (David) MacCuish, Hudson, Fla., Helen (James Jr.) Fitzgerald, Utica, Pa., Carolyn Jean (Victor Cimino), Newton, Mass. , and Marilyn (Larry) Kimes, Stoneboro.
His parents preceded him in death.

Private funeral services will be held in the SCOTT A. BLACK FUNERAL HOME, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro.
Interment: Hendersonville Cemetery, Worth Township, Stoneboro.
