John Miller, 91, of Grove City, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, with his family by his side.
He will be forever remembered by his wife of 69 years, Mary Lou (Gilmore) Miller; his daughter, Patricia and husband, Patrick Ferraro; his brother, Donald Miller; his daughter-in-law, Deborah Williamson Miller; his grandchildren, Pierce and Peyton Ferraro, Jarett Fisher and Caylen Miller; and his beloved dachshund, Katie.
He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Ethel (Dykstra) Miller; four brothers, William, Joseph, Robert and George Miller; two sisters, Kate Keck and Mary Winger; a son, Douglas John; and a daughter, Marsha.
He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
John was born March 11, 1926, in Grove City, where he stayed most of his life. He served as a mechanic in the U.S. Army. John then owned and operated Miller's Gulf Station before working as an inspector at General Electric Transportation until his retirement in 1989.
John will be remembered for his calm and gentle demeanor and his practical wisdom. He will be deeply missed.
