John Ryan Dudash

John Ryan Dudash, 75, of Transfer, passed away June 8, 2018.
He was born in Butler to Majorie McDeavitt and Frank Ryan Dudash on Jan. 28, 1943.
John was married to June Elaine Dudash on Dec. 11, 1961, June passed away Dec. 20, 2012.
He graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1960. John was a American veteran and proudly served his country in Desert Storm in the Air Force Reserves in Vienna, Ohio, which he retired from on Jan. 8, 1994.
He also served in the Coast Guard, Navy, Army for a total of 30-plus years of service. He received staff sergeant status while in the Air Force Reserves.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for many years until he retired in April 2000.
He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, NASCAR and taking his dearly beloved dogs, Prince and Duke, for car rides. 
Loved ones left to cherish John's memory include all five of his children, Frank Dudash, Gayle Maker, Lynne Grace, Margaret (Peggy) Donahue and Judith Dudash. He also has 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and grandson, Robert John Dtulowski, who passed away Aug. 11, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to ROAR (Removing Obstacles to Assist Recovery) group through the Mercer County Coalition for Drug Awareness at, 912 E. State St., Sharon PA 16146. This is a drug-free place where recovering addicts can begin to live their life without drugs or alcohol while supporting one another. It allows them to have positive interactions with several activities available to keep them engaged so they won't want to revert back to drug use. They know they have a place to go to do activities with other recovering addicts.

Service: Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday (6-15-18) in the funeral home. After the service, all are invited to the ROAR Recovery Center, 912 E. State St., Sharon, for a luncheon together.
