John Frederick Cusick, 91, of Sharpsville, passed away on Monday (May 13, 2019) at his home.
John was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Sharon to David Dye and Della (Scragg) Cusick.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. John served as a medic on medical transport ships and made six trips to Europe and back to the U.S. After serving, John worked as a machinist for Fessler Machine Co.
In 1950 he married his wife, Shirley Ann (Goral) Cusick, who passed away in 1997.
He was of the Methodist faith and loved history. John enjoyed collecting antiques, taking care of his pet cats, and watching wildlife around his home.
John is survived by: his sons, Kim (Sheree) Cusick of Sharpsville, Scott (Theresa) Cusick of Hanoverton, Ohio; brothers, David Cusick of Wheatland, William (Sophie) Cusick of Orangeville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Cusick of Sharpsville.
He was preceded in death by: father, David Dye Cusick; mother, Della Cusick; wife, Shirley Ann Cusick; sons, Gary and John Cusick; and a brother, Tommy Cusick.
