James W. Workman, Jr., 83, of Mercer, passed away on Sunday (Sept. 17, 2017) at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born in Lock Haven, Pa., on Jan. 31, 1934 to James W. Workman, Sr. and Jane Leitch Workman.
Mr. Workman married Harriet Timblin on Dec. 7, 1991.
He worked for Hammermill Paper Company in Lock Haven and then was a transport driver for Anchor Motor Freight in Lordstown.
Mr. Workman attended White Chapel United Methodist Church in New Wilmington.
He is survived by: his wife at the residence; and three children, Debra Raines of Lock Haven, Terri, wife of Larry Leupold, of Lock Haven, and James R. "Rusty" Workman and his wife, Brenda, of Milesburg, Pa.; three step-children, Linda, wife of Francis Kitchen, of Avis, Pa., Judy Watt of Hubbard, and Jennifer Adams of Mercer; a sister, Sandra Wilson of Lock Haven; eight grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and 17 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert "Bob" Workman.

Burial: Tylersville (Pa.) Cemetery.
