James C. "Jim" Riddle, of Mercer Street Ext, Harrisville, passed away on Sept. 17, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot. He was 89.
Born on July 8, 1926 in Grove City, James was a son of Charles A. and Edna Cokain Riddle.
James graduated from Grove City High School in 1944 and after graduation joined the United States Navy, serving in World War II.
He married his beloved wife, Doris "Dori" Bovard Riddle, on Oct. 25, 1958; she survives and resides in Harrisville.
Jim loved watching football and baseball, especially the Steelers and Pirates.
He loved to hunt with his beagles as well as fish.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and American Legion Post 852.
Jim was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his wife, Jim was survived by his sister, Charlene McCullough, Sharpsville; an aunt, Sophia Riddle, Wesley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two sons, Brian Riddle in January of this year; and Rodney Riddle in June 2009. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles "Les," Donald and Lynn Riddle; and one sister, Mary Rose.

Service: Funeral at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Lester A. Rowan, pastor of Wayside Community Church, officiating. Full military honors will be given by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.
