James R. "J.D." Davis
Jim will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. His gentle soul and warm spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
He was born Aug. 29, 1936, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Raymond and Mildred (Onions) Davis. He grew up in Hubbard and was a 1956 graduate of Hubbard High School.
Jim served on the Hubbard Volunteer Fire Department for more than 15 years during the 1960s and 1970s. He retired from Hovis Auto Supply in 2013 as the paint manager.
Jim leaves behind to hold onto his memories, his wife of 23 years, Joyce; his children, Timothy (Carrie) Davis of Masury, Ohio, Marilyn (Don) Majors of Cave Creek, Ariz., Lisa (Joseph) Reda of Enfield, Conn., Robert (Yanan) Evans of Fort Worth, Texas, and Carol (Jim) Reeves of Hampstead, Md.
He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his buddy, Bella.
He is predeceased by brothers, Frank, Donald and Kenneth; his sons, Frank Davis and Rick Evans; and two granddaughters.
Jim leaves behind a 35-year legacy of sponsorship helping others through his commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous. He led by example living his life one day at a time.

Service: Celebration of life will be 6:45 p.m. Thursday (7-26-18) at the funeral home.
