James D. Baun, Jackson Center, Jackson Township, passed away at 6:54 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, in Grove City Medical Center. He was 75.
Born Sept. 14, 1942, in Grove City, he was a son of Lloyd W. and Helen M. Wareham Baun.
Jim was a 1960 graduate of Lakeview High School.
He worked for over 22 years at National Castings, Sharon, then when it shut down he went to work at Reznor of Mercer, now Thomas and Betts, and retired from there after several years.
He was a member of the Vincent United Methodist Church, Jackson Center.
Jim loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and spent much time raising beagles and hunting rabbits with his son Doug. He loved to play softball and played on many leagues over the years and also enjoyed bowling on several Mercer leagues.
Jim liked a well-manicured lawn and loved mowing the lawn.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his children: Vicki (David) Barry, Eureka, Calif., Jami Darlington, Jackson Center, Kelly (Garrett) Douglass, Curlew, Wash., and Douglas L. (Lori) Baun, Jackson Center; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Nancy (Bob) Goodrum, Peachtree City, Ga., and Shirley Baun, Largo, Fla.; and a brother, Richard L. (Linda) Baun, Jackson Center.
His parents and a sister, Janice Baun, preceded him in death.

Services: None, to honor Jim's wishes. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Interment: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Jackson Township.
