Jack Leonard Gerlach, 66, formerly of Brookfield, died unexpectedly at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his Lackawannock Township home.
Jack was born Jan. 5, 1951, in Ellwood City, to Barbara (Striley) Gerlach and George Gerlach.
He graduated in 1969 from Brookfield High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a mechanic for 43 years for P.I.I. Motor Express in Masury.
He attended Victory Christian Center, Coitsville, Ohio.
Jack loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed riding his Harley.
He was a member of the Wheatland American Legion Honor Guard and the Outdoorsmen's Club of Victory Christian Center.
Surviving are: his wife, Gail (Holsopple ) Gerlach, whom he married Feb. 14, 1976, at home; a daughter, Jessica Glaser and her husband Nicholas of Stephens City, Va.; a son, Joshua Gerlach and his fiancee Heather McNamara of West Middlesex; sisters, Janice Terna, Cynthia Garrett, Barbara McCracken, Betty Shoup, Patty Yingling and Kitty Piccirilli; and grandchildren, Tyler and Brady.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George and John Gerlach.
