Ida Podleyon Fromm


Ida Podleyon Fromm, 94, of Hermitage, passed away at Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage, on Thursday, June 6, 2019.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1924, in Hermitage to Joseph Podleyon and Katie Slunisky Podleyon.
She attended Hickory High School and later worked at Westinghouse in Sharon then for Metz Bakery in Farrell.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Sharon.
Ida married Charles G. Fromm on Oct. 25, 1952. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1986.
She is survived by a daughter, Bridget (William) Powell of West Middlesex; a son, Charles Fromm of Hermitage; two grandchildren, Kimberly (Brian) Multari of Hermitage and Ryan (fiancée Kari Caracci) Powell of Pittsburgh; and two great-grand-granddaughters, Katey Multari and Bella Multari.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Steve, Ernest and John; and a sister, Dorothy Lovesky.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shenango Valley Animal Shelter, 2599 Broadway Road, Hermitage.

Calling hours: From 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday (6-10-19) at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 801 Idaho St., Farrell.
Service: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the church by the Rev. Matthew J. Ruyechan, pastor.
Interment: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hermitage.
