Helen Tallo, 98, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018.
Helen was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Somerset. She was the youngest daughter of the late John and Annie Lopuchovsky.
She was also preceded in death by six siblings.
Helen married Edward Tallo on Dec. 16, 1939, and was happily married for 72 years, until he preceded her in death on June 28, 2010.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Diane Tallo and her husband, Spencer, Youell; and many nieces and nephews.
During World War II, she and many other women replaced their husbands at work in a U.S. steel mill. She led a crusade for equal pay for women because the women had higher productivity than their male counterparts.
She was a fan of The Ohio State University football team. She cared deeply and willingly gave support for family, friends and neighbors.
She spent her later years at The Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing, where she was very appreciative of the care she received. It was there that she found a love for playing bingo and especially winning at bingo.
