Helen E. Dennison, 84, of Grove City, passed away at home Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, following an illness since November 2017.
Helen was born July 23, 1933 in Grove City to Ross E. and Mary E. (Kay) Covert. She married Harold D. Dennison on April 17, 1953.
She was a 1952 graduate of Grove City High School and a member of North Liberty Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and retired from Mercer County Living Center.
Following retirement in 1996, she became a crossing guard for students at the intersection of Highland Avenue and West Poplar Street, until her recent illness.
She is survived by her husband, Harold, at home; a daughter, LuAnn Fiedler, of Grove City; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Florence "Sis" Birckbichler and husband Dale, of Butler; and three brothers, Lynn Covert and wife Edna; Orrin Covert; and Leroy Covert and wife Linda, all of Grove City.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Timothy F. Dennison Sr.; three sisters, Dorothie Barger, Edna Ruley and an infant, Betty Covert; and a brother, David Covert.
