Harriet M. Moyer, 80, of Sharon passed away at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, in Clepper Manor CCRC, Sharon.
Mrs. Moyer was born Oct. 5, 1936, in Greenville, a daughter of Harry and Louise (Patterson) Gilliland.
Harriet was employed for many years as a bartender at the former Glass Tower Bar, Masury, and later worked for the former Hollywood Lounge, now the Happywood, also Masury. She enjoyed country and western music, dancing and traveling.
Her husband William Moyer, whom she married Dec. 15, 1994, passed away April 25, 2003.
Surviving are: two daughters, Susan Hanrahan, Sharon; and Sandra Leggit and her husband Bill, Alexandria, La.; four sons, James Robert Parquette and his wife Carol, Chicago; Ronald Parquette and his wife Paula, Nampa, Idaho; Daniel Parquette and his longtime companion, Debra, Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Steven Parquette, Sharon; a sister, Marion Thome, Akron; a brother, John Gilliland and his wife Gloria, Warren, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; her adoptive father, William Zahnizer; and three sisters, Peggy Keck, Pearl Buchanan and Nancy Kidd.
