Harold E. Roberts of Mercer, formerly of Kennerdell, passed away Sunday evening in Grove City Medical Center. He was 93.
Harold was born in Arkansas on July 20, 1924, to Frank J. and Eva Roberts. He married Marion B. Scheirer of Aug. 14, 1944. She preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 2014.
He was a self-employed carpenter and farmer throughout his life. Robert attended Mercer Bible Baptist Church, and he was proud to serve in World War II, with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a lifelong horseman.
Survivors include four children, Carol Ann Deitzer and husband, John, of Bradenton, Fla., Richard Roberts and wife, Jackie, of Emlenton, Suzanne E. Conner and husband, Kevin, of Mercer and Robert Roberts and wife, Tammy, of Grove City; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen Kropik; and one brother, Robert Roberts.
In addition to his parents and wife, a son, Dr. Harold "Harry" Roberts Jr.; an infant daughter, Sherry Ann Roberts; a brother, Ed Roberts; and a sister, Betty Andrews, preceded Harold in death.

Service: Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday (8-10-17) at the funeral home.
Burial: National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
