Hardrix C. Mitchell, 90, of Clepper Manor, Sharon, formerly of Farrell and Grove City, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017.
He was born March 27, 1927, in Birmingham, Ala., to Frank Mitchell and Bessie Robinson Mitchell.
Hardrix attended Washington High School and graduated from Lincoln Hills High School.
He was the husband of Ruth Mitchell, who passed away on May 11, 2017.
He retired from GE, Grove City, and was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church in Farrell, where he served as a deacon.
Hardrix is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Mitchell of Sharon; and a godson, Brian Johnson Jr. of Sharon.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Hardrix C. Mitchell Jr., who passed away in 2009.

Service: 11 a.m. Thursday (8-31-17) in the funeral home Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Brian Johnson, pastor and eulogist of New Light Missionary Baptist Church, and the Rev. Troy Hunter, officiant and pastor of Community Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery.
