Glenna G. Smith, 103, a Grove City resident since 1994, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, Jan. 6, 2018 while living at Grove Manor.
Glenna was born in Temperance Vale, New Brunswick, Canada, on April 2, 1914, to Perley and Mabel (Dunlop) Briggs.
She married Rev. Homer M. Smith on Oct. 25, 1936; he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2000.
She was a graduate of Patton Academy and attended Eastern Nazarene College.
All 103 years of her life she had a Godly influence on everyone around her. She was a wonderful wife and mother who served as a pastor's wife for 40 years in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Maine, Rhode Island, New York and Ohio.
She leaves three children, Jean (Dave) Jones, of Grove City, Martha (Jerry) McCloy, of Foxboro, Mass., and Del (Daena) Norwell, Mass.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Marple, and a niece, Holly Groom, both of Cumberland, Maine.
Her parents, husband and a sister, Reta Hiller, preceded Glenna in death.
