George H. Stubbs, 75, of Farrell, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 10, 2019) in Sharon Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 17, 1943, in Sharon, a son of Fred Stubbs and Susan (Shuttleworth) Stubbs.
George graduated from Sharon High School in 1964 and was a Navy veteran.
He was employed by Aqua Pennsylvania as a serviceman for more than 35 years, retiring in 2006.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
George enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing golf and gardening. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.
He is survived by: his wife, Patricia Anderson Stubbs, whom he married June 21, 1969; two sons, Michael Stubbs and his wife Sarah of Hermitage, and Brian Stubbs and his wife Sarah of Greenville; a brother, Fred Stubbs and his wife Simone of Florida; his grandchildren, Ashley Stubbs, Nicole Stubbs, Joshua Stubbs and Hunter Stubbs; and step-grandchildren, Sydney Weber and Aaron Weber.
George was preceded in death by: his parents; a sister, Patricia Stubbs; and a brother, William Stubbs.

Herb was a compassionate man from what we could see! He always said hello as we passed! Always asking how we’re doing?? I know his illness was a long and hard journey! He’s with the Father in heaven not struggling to breathe anymore!! I will miss him! Please know Patty we Will look out for you!! In Jesus name!! Please God be with Patty as she is a season of mourning and acceptance! Let her know of Your love! He will never leave you! I hope Herbs enjoying heaven as he should be as a whole man! Enjoying a beer and a cigarette and reconnecting with loved one!! That’s my dream! No more suffering and life everlasting! GODS GOT THIS
