Frank R. Matejka
He was born March 2, 1950.
He was a graduate of Sharpsville High School and ATES Technical School. He attended Youngstown State University and was once a member of the Army Reserves.
With a degree in engineering/design technology, he worked as a draftsperson for GATX and CBI. From 1985, he was sole proprietor of FM Construction Co.
Frank was a talented designer who engineered and constructed many unique homes and structures. He was a gifted craftsman in every project he undertook. Before retiring, he also worked as a clerk of the works in public school construction.
Frank is survived by: his wife, Barbara Parker Matejka; two daughters, Victoria "Tori" and Elizabeth "Elli"; a son, Shane and his wife, Beth; three granddaughters, Ashlyn, Kayleigh and Sara; and siblings, Rick and his wife, Kathy; Jerry and his wife, Denise; Marilyn and her husband, Gary Snyder; and Carol and her husband, Mark Garvin.
Frank was preceded in death a son, Frankie; a stillborn daughter, Sara Melinda; and his parents, Frank and Mary Matejka.
During the last two years, following Frankie's death, Frank worked tirelessly supporting Barb's Art for Frank Program for Children, in memory of their son. Frank loved children and wanted to make a difference in a child's life.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.
