Frank D. "Jabby" Jablonovsky of Grove City passed away at home on Saturday afternoon (Aug. 19, 2017) follow a lengthy illness. He was 87.
He was born in Grove City on Sept. 29, 1929, to Mike and Goldie (Reed) Jablonovsky.
Frank married Gail J. Jones on Sept. 19, 1953.
Frank was a graduate of Grove City High School in 1947. He served his country as a member of the Army in the Korean War.
He retired 1991 as parts manager for the former Broad Street Garage Dodge dealership where he worked since 1956.
During his retirement years he was employed at Pine Grove Golf Course.
A longtime member of Tower Presbyterian Church, he served the church as a trustee, deacon and elder. Frank was a member of the Optimist Club, VFW Post 519 and the Elks Lodge, all of Grove City. He was active in scouting with Boy Scouts Troop 41 of Grove City for many years.
Survivors include: his wife, Gail, at home, two daughters, Melanie Clark and husband Dale, Bath, N.Y., and Marta Bowser and husband Richard, Angier, N.C., two grandchildren, Michael Bowser, Raleigh, N.C., and Kathryn Bowser, Charlotte, N.C.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Michael D. Jablonovsky; two sisters, Betty Horkey and Bonnie Osborne; and an infant brother, Michael.

Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday (8-23-17) at Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St, Grove City with Rev. Stuart Strachan officiating.
Burial: Carpenter Cemetery with military honors.
