Frances I. Heim, of Hermitage, formerly of Stoneboro, passed away of natural causes at 7:25 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 24, 2017) in Hospitality Care Center. She was 93.
Born Nov. 7, 1923 in Butler, she was a daughter of William J. and Tessie Hankey Reges.
She was a graduate of Butler High School.
Frances retired as a cook from Sharon General Hospital in 1987 after 17 years of service. In her early years she worked at the W.T. Grant store in Hickory Township and at the G.C. Murphy store in Farrell.
Frances was a lifelong member of the Gentle Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, Hermitage.
She enjoyed listening to Christian music, loved to cook and especially loved the time spent with her family.
Her husband, Joseph W. Heim, whom she married Dec. 14, 1940, preceded her in death March 18, 2005.
She is survived by: three sons: Ronald (Peggy) Heim, Hubbard, Rev. Thomas L. (Wendy) Heim, Lakeville, Mass., and Jerry A. (Lorna) Heim, Largo, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Annie Firster, and a brother, Robert (Shirley) Reges, all Butler.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a son, Joseph W. Heim, Jr.; two sisters, Verda Moon, and Gladys Kline; and three brothers, Alpheus, William and James Reges.

Calling hours: 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday (8-29-17) in Gentle Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 3480 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage.
Service: Noon Tuesday in the church with Pastor Brian A. Burke and Rev. Thomas L. Heim, co-officiating.
Interment: New Lebanon Cemetery, Mill Creek Township.
