Frances Genieve (Miller) Burk, 93, a resident of Countryside Nursing Home in Mercer, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at Grove City Medical Center after a short illness.
Born on July 31, 1924, in Newark, N.J., to John and Viola (Johnson) Miller. She married Robert Ernest Burk on Oct. 7, 1959. He preceded her in death in February 1998.
She had been a registered nurse at Grove City Hospital and attended Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Mercer. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and bowling.
Survivors include two grandsons, Benjamin (Annie) Burk of Pittsburgh and Justin R. (Heidi) of Grove City; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Angeline and Kennedy Burk.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, John T., Robert E. and Samuel A. Burk; and an infant daughter, Kathleen.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Tuesday (9-26-17) at the church, with the Very Rev. Matthew J. Kujawinski, V.F. officiating.
